Brian J. Hood
Co-Founder, Waltbillig & Hood General Contractors
For nearly 20 years, Brian J. Hood has been deeply rooted in the Southwest Florida community as a resident, a construction leader, and a driving force behind the region’s growth. Recognizing the rising demand for high-performing general contractors, Brian co-founded Waltbillig & Hood to set a new standard for excellence, integrity, and client-focused delivery.
Brian earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Louisiana Tech University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Prior to founding WHGC, he led a range of hospital and commercial construction projects across the Southeast, developing expertise in preconstruction, project management, and complex project execution.
His leadership is defined by a commitment to quality, clear communication, and long-term partnerships. These values, paired with his deep knowledge of the Southwest Florida market, have helped establish WHGC as one of the region’s most trusted and respected general contracting firms.
Jay Waltbillig
Co-Founder, Waltbillig & Hood General Contractors
A Southwest Florida native with over 30 years of industry experience, Jay Waltbillig has built a career rooted in leadership, trust, and community connection. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Western Carolina University, Jay returned home to raise his family and contribute to the region’s development. In 2016, he co-founded Waltbillig & Hood with the goal of creating a firm equipped to meet the demands of Southwest Florida’s rapid growth.
Jay brings deep expertise in business development, preconstruction, project management, warranty services, and team leadership. His collaborative approach and commitment to client success have been instrumental in establishing WHGC’s strong reputation and long-standing partnerships.
Known for building lasting relationships and driving repeat business, Jay remains actively engaged in the local business community and continues to lead with integrity, experience, and a passion for quality construction.
